~ Our History ~

A New Era for Field Hockey

In December, 2006 Colonial Field Hockey Club and Gold Star Camps merged to become REACH ATHLETIC DEVELOMENT, L.L.C. ("RAD FIELD HOCKEY").

Tess Ellis and Shelly Behrens seek a unique experience for field hockey players of all ages by merging their coaching talents. Together, they bring a combined forty-seven years of coaching experience along with their passion for teaching and development of athletes, regardless of experience, to this new endeavor.

Players who work with RAD will improve their technical and tactical game, as well as elevate their overall physical game. From beginner to elite all are welcome and encouraged to challenge themselves.

RAD coaches will assist players to develop an understanding of the game along with strong basic skills. Players will benefit from low coaching to player ratios, as well as one-on-one coaching needed to develop and improve their skills. Coaches Ellis and Behrens will be actively involved in all teaching sessions, as well as the day-to-day operations of the club. In addition, coaches previously working with Colonial Field Hockey will be involved as will select college and international invited guest coaches.

We seek to teach and develop young athletes to become the best field hockey players they can be! - Come grow with us!

Be a part of RAD HOCKEY with yearly playing/coaching opportunities, 7-aside Tournaments, Camps, Shoot-n-Saves, GK Clinics, Open Practices, 2-3 day mobile camps (held at your site), pre-pre-season camp.
